Got a chance to eyeball this new dress kilt up close yesterday when Steve and Bobbie met me in Flagstaff.
I was impressed by the quality leather in the straps, no skimping. I really like the strap idea on a contemporary kilt...or is it contemporary kilt fabric in a traditional kilt pattern?? Anyway, I like it because I bought my CADPAT and Desert Camo Freedom kilts after losing a bunch of weight and being optimistic I would stay that slim. Now I need to lose some weight to get back into them. With straps - who knows.
The rest of the kilt is quality too. I like the options of having different types of waists depending on body build. As you can see in the Show us Your Pics of yesterday's meeting I'm a lot rounder in the middle than Steve. Custom fitting.
I'm still getting used to such deep narrow pleats on a contemporary kilt..keep looking for the tartan....but my lady loves them. She was really excited to see such a dressy look in a contemporary kilt.
And, an intangible. Steve mentioned his staff was still working on kilts while he was gone. How cool is it to have staff like that you can trust and go take care of family business? Speaks volumes to me.
Okay...adding to my wish list....hmmm....with my still smouldering plastic maybe I should give my measurements to my lady if she likes the kilt that much....happy to wear it for her.....dang...no birthday for months yet....
