I've 14 UKs now. Love 'em.

Just counted up my kilt total...39 counting the three Rocky's still working on...I'm not an addict...I'm not...really, I'm not....

Rednecks...Connecticut...the concept won't fit in my mind after years down south and out west...really...New England rednecks....boy...who'd ever thunk it....??

Well I live in the foothills of New England where theres plenty of woods and farmland so I use the term pretty loosely. Don't get too hung up on it.

Never heard of clan MacBubba but it sounds interesting. I'll have to check it out.

Geez I dunno how much of an addict I'll become..39 Kilts

Unfortunately I work retail where I've allready asked and the dress code won't allow for Kilts so I'm sure I'll always have some pants in my closet. On the same note, working at such a place doesn't pay much so I don't think I could afford too many unless I start making them myself.

I am in Clan MacBubba as are around 800 others, including a sizable chunk of the Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs/Lords (I forget the correct title-please forgive). Actually, their tent is where I spend most of my time at the games. In it are the biggest characters, the longest term game fannatics (some attending games for 30 years or more), the nobles (ALL of the nobles at the Greenville (SC) games were MacBubbas), and the ones who REALLY know their Scottish history and culture (I had fun listening to two members of the Scottish heraldry council arguing heraldic rights!). While some other attendies were making fun of MacBubba, the ones who were important were in the MacBubba tents cracking each other up having a blast. If interested, let me know, or visit their site- It's in the process of a MAJOR update and upgrade- to learn more.

I also work retail, which is WHY I make my own kilts. I'd HIGHLY advise Barb's book on kilt making and talking to Matt at the Scottish Tartan Museum on Franklin, NC. They are VERY helpful to me, as are others who post on this site.
