Oh, there's a belly there, just that the belt is holding it in! I'll keep working on the hose, although I might need to take a closer pic, because they really are scrunched down, actually folded over abou 3 times, then pushed down. And they do have some serious thickness, at least to me. And the boots are the ones below, not sure I want anything heavier, these are very comfortable:
