I'll have to second that, Hamish. I just watched the video and it's great.

    Congratulations on No. 60!

I confess, I am one of those that views the wearing of the Saltire on one's bum as being a tad disrespectful. I'm not sure that I'm quite over that, but I will concede that it is a beautiful kilt and it looks very nice on you. I am very impressed with the pleating effect.

Who knows? I may come around!

Oh, and thanks for the link to the Scocha site - I never heard of them and like them very much!

Although I'm not a big fan of the Saltire kilt, I must admit...it looks pretty cool

    The video rocks!

That certainly is a beautiful kilt. Great video. Ham, since your 70th birthday will be here soon, I think you should celebrate by bringing your kilt count up to 70.

Jack+, it is so good to see you here again.

What is to happen to all those kilts? Well, I have recently entered into a formal agreement with 'someone in the know' in Scotland, who has contacts with the 'right people', for my Kilt and Accessories Kollection to form the basis of an official National Kilt Museum - but not until I have slipped away to those Games you mention!

Which makes me think: should I select a kilt to take to those Games, or will I be able to start a new Kollection whilst on the journey?!

WHAT? In five weeks, Darrell? Nice thought, but no kiltmaker could work such a miracle.

Besides, I have just heard that I might be paying my first visit to California (Palm Springs) early in October, and I'll need to start saving my pennies for that!

Some of us are not far from the Springs Hamish, if you do come to Cali.

Iolaus, time to throw a kilt night, special guest edition.

Brilliant, Ham, just brilliant! I've seen that kilt before but wasn't sure that I'd like it much but you do wear it well (go figure). Which reminds me...I posted this previously (slightly edited now) and since it seems to 'fit' this thread, I'll post it again:

I bet Hamish could wrap a tablecloth around his waist and make it look like a million bucks (or pounds)! Bravo!

Keep us posted, Hamish. Usualy, but not always, the weather turns kiltish around the second week of October in this part of the world.

Given some advance notice you might see more of a SoCal Rable than you might expect. We'd be honored, so please keep us posted.

    Regards,
    Scott Gilmore
