It finally happened to me last weekend at Pride in the Pines. Place was thick with people. I'd been to the port-a-johns by the front gate and was walking back to my group in a crowd of people entering and a flow of people exiting.

An obviously drunk college age guy suddenly ducked down when he got near me and stuck his arm out and began to run his hand up my leg.

I instinctively spun out of his reach and turned to confront him (olde, but still 6' 250 lbs and well trained). He took off running out the exit.

Point is, if you have some indication what is happening, it may be possible to spin away. I'm kind of amazed at my instinctive response.

You've still got those cat-like reflexes, Ron. I would have had to thump him on the noggin with my cane.

You had the displeasure, i on the other hand had the pleasure of a Chief Warrant Officer 4, female type - thank God - run her hand up underneath on St. Paddy's Day. It was a true surpris for both of us when she met the boys.

In cormacmacguardhe's case I would hope I would have the fortitude to just walk away, but in Ron's case I would have bobbed that guy on the head!

The last time I wore my kilt around people from work (this was at a bar) someone behind me started to raise the back of it. Without even looking I swung a backhand down at that level and caught them on the wrist....HARD. Turned around and it was one of the guys and he had a very surprised look, asked what that was for. I asked him if it was ok for me to drop his pants. He is very dark complected but I could still see him blush and his answer was, you're right...sorry.

Ya done good, ya done REAL good but a closed fist swung the same way in the same manner catching him on the jaw would have been so much better a lesson.

    Chris.

I can't think of any reason a guy would want to peek up the kilt ( gay bars excluded, but guardedly so). A swift slap and glare has almost always been a successful at deterring people from messing with you.

Maybe, but the guy was actually one of the good ones at work and had had a few before he got there. It was not something he would normally have done.
