Video Clip: Sweeping the pleats
Always one to do what I am told, or politely asked to do, I THINK I now have managed to produce, direct and star in a short video clip on the subject of "Sweeping the Pleats"!
I have now made, I think, six attempts at getting this achieved, and I am not entirely satisfied with even this one but it's the best of the surviving bunch. Most were too long and Photobucket did not want to host them. The last attempt was good but when watching it on my PC's monitor straight from the camera, I realised I was flashing everyone half-way through and without editing facilities, it had to go!
There does seem to be a sync problem with the sound/vision once Photobucket gets hold of it, and you might need to be prepared to 'up' your volume control a few seconds in.
As before, click on the image to get going.

Sadly it doesn't work on linux, requires Flash 8. Luckily my company PC is XP and I go to see Ham in all his glory!

Excellent video!
It's great to get confirmation from the Kilt King that I've been sweeping correctly.
It's also great to see & hear Hamish since, regrettably, we were unable to meet with him in Palm Springs this last weekend.
I hope you had a great time in "the colonies," Hamish. We've missed ya...

RR,
Thanks for bringing this back to the top. I was missing Ham's posts, but now I have had my "Ham fix" hearing his voice on the video!

Yes, thank you Hamish. Nicely done!
Do you have any variations on this for getting into automobiles? That's where I typically have my greatest difficulty. It's almost as if I must get into the seat first, then brace my feet against the floorboards and my upper back against the top of the car seat, then arch my back and readjust the pleats under me before sitting. It's normally not too bad, but where I get most crossed up is usually those days when I'm on the edge of running late for a pipe band gig, and I don't have time to get out and get back in "properly."
