That's a great looking pin Hamish, and of course very appropriate for the tartan. I have begun to seek out kilt pins that are of a design other than the typical sword. This one would be a great addition. Of course, then I would need another kilt on which to wear it.

They knew exactly what they were doing when they slipped in that tartan sample.

    Resistance is futile.

And it'll make a nice kilt (see below on right and at bottom in the desert). Looks good with brown sporran.

Don't know about the hand on the *** though - must be a Breton thang.

I like the sporran in this second shot, and how it's carried to one side of the buckle on the kilt belt itself, rather than from a sporran belt.

That is a splendid kilt pin, and reminds me that I need to get a few more (non-sword) type. And that tartan - gorgeous!

That is a very nice looking kilt pin, Hamish. And that tartan will make a nice 651st kilt for you Where on earth are you going to put all of them?

Hamish, congratulations on your new kilt pin. I like alternatives to the more commonly seen swords. Now for a question for the less knowledgable that I was hoping you could help me with - exactly what constitutes a kilt pin? How does one determine if a pin is appropriote to use as a kilt pin?

    Cheers! Bill
