That is a splendid kilt pin, and reminds me that I need to get a few more (non-sword) type. And that tartan - gorgeous!

That is a very nice looking kilt pin, Hamish. And that tartan will make a nice 651st kilt for you Where on earth are you going to put all of them?

I like how it appears more "bottom-heavy." It seems most kilt pins are wider at the top, and come to a point at the bottom. (I'm sure there's some sort of tradition involving not having a sword pointed towards your heart)
But I've noticed that most non-sword kilt pins seem to follow that quasi-inverted triangle look.
This however, is a nice change. I thought it was a modified fluer-de-lis, until Robin was kind enough to post the Breton flag.
Ham, can I be you when I grow up?

Very nice pin, Hamish. I'm another who's a bit tired of all of the sword-based pins (even though my nicest, an old Miracle, is just that). Vive la différence!
