Bill, I am very glad ot hear the he is doing better. My wife is also a vet (well vet tech and 3 years of vet school) and blockage is a serious matter. As a consequence, we know every 24 hour vet hospital near us whenever we move, and very quickly find the local mobile vet. As Scott mentions, it relieves much of the stress on the pet.

Hope everything turns out well. Our prayers and good wishes are with you.

The support and good wishes from you all has been very much appreciated. Just wanted to update this last time.

Badger will be at the vets for awhile longer. All the catheters and problems with unblocking have him pretty swollen and sore. But he is getting good care. It looks like he may have surgery to shorten things a little in order to lengthen his life. (ouch!) But better that than the painful alternative of repeating of the problem.

    Thanks again.

    Cheers! Bill

Thanks for the update, Bill. It sounds like he is in good hands at the vet. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

Thanks for the update, Bill. Poor Badger will be better for it in the long run. Good luck!

Bill, I'm arriving late to this thread but please know that anyone who has ever loved a pet is on your side. We just lost a 15 year old cat to kidney disease. I spent the last few months giving her IV's every other day so that the fluids would clear her kidneys. She was happy and healthy looking right up until the last few days when she went very quickly. We do extraordinary things for our pets and I admire your commitment to Badger. Best wishes and blessings.

Good to hear that Badger will be alright.
I can't even begin to imagine losing my cat. He's been with me for half of my life now!
