No worries. For over a decade, the only sporrans I wore were the drawstring type, like the Freelanders.
Either a bead on the drawstring or a single overhand knot will suffice to secure them.
Driving with one that's loaded, though, is interesting. The steering wheel always wants to rub on the flap button/toggle, which makes for highly interesting sensations as one turns a corner, and the ribs on the steering wheel grip "rattle" the sporran.
