As promised, some pictures from Saturday and the Hamilton Highland Games. I used a lower definition setting, so hopefully they aren't too big.

The RKilts booth, with its solar powered sewing machine:

It was good to Rob in person again, and we had a good talk. He did have both a finished black hemp RKilt and undyed hemp swatches to show me. The short version is that I ordered the first natural-colored hemp RKilt. And one of his sporran straps.

While we were talking, a gentleman with ... strongly held opinions came by and struck up a conversation. It was a variation on the "traditional vs. non-traditional"/"what is a kilt?" topics we've discussed here many times. Rob and I extended an invitation for him to stop by here. And Robert, if you read this, thank you for taking us up on the invitation.

And the last big honking picture - the not-quite traditional music of Hunting McLeod -

The mix of bagpipes, electric fiddle, drums, and electric guitar playing traditional tunes was sweeeeet. I can't think of any other way to put it.

Wow! Glad I'm a cable subscriber. Great shots. Man, you get a LOT of pipers there. That's a sound I wish I'd been there to hear.
