New UK Corduroy, pic and thoughts
Ordered a UK original in tan corduroy last Tues. Came today. Great chat with the Nick at UK. Excellent service.
Took it out of the package and was surprised at how substantial it is. Very good workmanship. Feels great, very soft to wear after woollen kilts. Differences? There is more fabric around the front, with the front pleats. It hangs differently than my wool kilts. I love the cargo pockets. No need for a sporran. Everything fit quite nicely. So far I have to say I love this UK.
Wore it to the office at the university. Not a soul commented! Must be used to me in a kilt.

kilt looks great!
Wouldn't a dog that size be named "Haggis"?

Saw one at the UK booth at one of the recent festivals here (can't remember which one as they were at both). Looked good, and I liked them, but didn't have any my size.

I'm holding Lily because she matches the colour of the kilt. Wanted to keep Ham happy with the colour thing!

I've got a tan cord as well (and I guess while we are at it, 2 pugs). I think it is my favorite UK that I own, and I have 5). Very soft and comfy. Hope they expand the color range at some point.

I love how you've also coordinated your shirt with your living room. I've had green walls in at least one room in all of the houses I've occupied since I redecorated my bedroom when I was in high school - and that's a great shade of green you've got there, IMO.
As for the UK cords, I was avoiding them, but on your review I may have to reconsider.

Much appreciated, Andy!
That is a very nice-looking kilt and, what can I say - you wear it well.
I have been 'umming-and-ahhing' over the cord Utilikilt since it was introduced. Having 11 of their super kilts already, I am well aware of their fine qualities, but I think it is the import costs into the UK from the USA that has put me off ordering one. If I come over to California in October, which seems likely, I might have one sent to my hosts in Palm Springs so that I can bring it back here with me as part of my normal clothing! I like the look of the red one as it appears to be a sort of 'brick red', but if it is scarlet red I'll have to forget it. That's NOT me at all, and the blue one appears to be far too bright!
Can anyone describe the red colour accurately for me please?

Ham, I think you would find the red in the UK Cord to be too RED!!, rather than just red.
Its definately not a brick, its more of a true red color. Scarlet? I dont know, but its definately a bright color, not subdued at all.
It is to the reds how the blue looks to blues. Did that make any sense?
