Sorry to hear about your pet but I'm happy to hear Badger is getting good medical care.

I'm a dog person myself (although my brothers and I had 22 cats at one time when we were kids) and have unfortunately lost a few in my lifetime; the two dogs we have now (Seamus and Regan) are like children to us (my fiance and I). I can't imagine life without them but I'm sensible enough to know that will change one day. Until then, they receive all the love and care we can give them, regardless of the fact that they're 'just pets'.
