made my day!
I got a Philabeg MacQueen from USA kilts last week. The kilt is awesome, and puts a Sportkilt to shame. I had some concern about a kilt with velcro, since I used to own a pair of Sportkilts, but the MCQueen changed all that. It is such a well made product, I will recommend it to anyone.
Well, I wore it on Monday, and visited my wife at her job..pharmacy at the local hospital. I got some commments, asking me the celebration I was wearing a kilt for, to which I responded "I am celebrating Monday and I have the day off".
I talked with the wife, and she called me about an hour later, and told me two nurses had asked about the kilt. The wife said they thought my legs were "nice to look at" and the other said "He's nice to look at all together".
I went to my hair salon, and met with the owner's 15 yoa daughter. She told me how 'wrong it was' for me to 'wear a skirt'. We sparred, verballey, with her mother, the clients and the staff watching. She made reference that I dress like a woman, and I pointed out that the jeans she was wearing means she dresses like a man. Eventually, she had her mother take a picture of me ( I made sure the teenager was in it) and she sent it to all her friends. By the time we ended, the entire salon agreed...kilts kick ***!
I was at Walmart, and an employee, who is obviously goth (for those of you who do not know what that means, think Marilyn Manson), and he wanted to know where he could get a kilt. I gave him some ideas. I actually saw him a few weeks earlier, and he asked why I wasn't wearing a kilt on that occasion, and I explianed that I had made a quick trip to Walmart after jogging.
Still later in the day, I went to my local watering hole in a Stillwater standard Blackwatch. Same kind of comments, but no abrasiveness, or problems. Usually some idiot will mouth off. But since I have worn a kilt for the past year to the same watering hole, I think the patrons and employees would expect nothing else. The kilt felt great in the warm, humid Nebraska air.
In short, both kilts are mighty fine. I would recommend them both. I have conversed with both Rocky and Jerry, and customer service is first rate with both of them.

Sounds like a great day! How about a pic of that MacQueen USAK?

Ain't them casual USAKilts great!?
They've become a major branch of my kilt addiction...have four so far and eyeballing four more....perfect for summer!
And hearty congratulations on dragging that young lady's mind outside the box!
