Check out three feathers for buttons.

I used their Eagle Pewter buttons on my Eton Modified

I just replaced the buttons originally on the sleeve with a couple of the small eagle buttons and I think it worked pretty well.

The vest can be optional but you would need a kilt belt. Personally I like the look of the vest.

I like the look of a vest as well. To me, it just adds that extra air of being dressed up nice.
