No! No! Well, I suppose it is - but it's one each!!

That's why I keep asking who is going to be there. I might need to steel myself in readiness to be overwhelmed!!!

I suppose somebody will have to volunteer to find out which of the local hostelries sells the best Islay malt (can't be me, I won't be there again for a while) - which is your preference, Hamish: Bruichladdich, Caol Islay, Bowmore, Lagavulin, Laphraoig? Or some other?

It will not be me either. I'm not going anywhere near Harpenden until the day prior to The Gathering. My friends just outside the town, with whom I am staying for the event, are not pub-frequenters and so they would not have any idea either!

Now David, here you force me into a corner, although I have mentioned it at X Marks in the past: I confess I do not enjoy whisky (or rather, it does not like me)! I keep Famous Old Grouse for medicinal purposes, and I have Glenfarclas, Glenmorangie Port wood finish and Cragganmore 12 yo for my guests! I'll be more than happy with a cider on the day!

Cider's good, too - especially in summer. Farm labourers used to get something like half-a-gallon a day during the reaping season, apparently.

Raph! What a memory you have! I was just trying to keep things simple here. I'd rather pass out stone cold on cider, than a heady cocktail of my real favourite tipples!! LOL

Hope you have a good Highland Games. I'll be thinking of you on 16th.
