I just got back from a trip to Germany and Italy. The Utilikilt went with me and was accepted warmly by all. It the Hofbrauhaus in Munich the World Cup fans were in high spirits. I was approached by a few Scots who said that they felt that should be wearing their kilts as well. Great guys!
By the end of the night, the band and I were leading the entire biergarten in a rousing version of "In Munchen Steht Ein Hofbrauhaus. Eins, zwei, g'suffa!" (A moment that I will never forget.) Japanese women were flocking to me as their husbands acted as our paparazzi.
Even as we walked down the streets, the "universal question" was asked by several young (and beautiful) shopkeepers, who whistled and giggled.
What a great time! More images to come.
