I actually mostly with your ideas, just took a little long to get there. Not derogatory, just me reading it in the glow of a glass of wine (or 2), and wondering where it was going.
When I get detailed (wordy), it usually because I think there is real content. (my professors never had a problem with my papers being to short). I also learned to write a summary, so that any missed points may be stated. If questions of meaning: read above.

I tend to get into trouble when I summarize without context!! (See my early posts)
