I do get a bit envious when my wife can buy a pleated plaid skirt for a few pounds though.
Yes...but women's clothing...and shoes...are mostly of "disposable quality". That's fine "they" have closets filled with rubbish. Quantity...not quality.

I rather hear the drumbeat of quality (okey...I'm odd )
