Sad Sad News, just be thankful it was not one of your wool ones--can you claim on the insurance, tell them it was wool, not that I would do something like that.

Very sad. It looked like a nice kilt.
Halogen lamps aren't especially popular in the US these days because they have been the source of many house fires. Please consider replacing the halogen bulb or, if this isn't possible, the entire lamp.

My sincere condolences, Robertson. I am wearing my black arm-band as a mark of respect.

It died a noble death - the death of a warrior in the frontline of the war on bifurcated garments. Let us raise a dram in its memory and in its honour for the courage it showed in the face of the fight...but a kilt never really dies, you know. It will live on.

Glad you weren't wearing it - that would've left a mark. I think I'll be doubly careful wearing PV or acrylic around heat sources now.
[b][SIZE=2] In Soviet Russia, kilt wears you.

There are little droplets of Glemorangie in between the keys of my pc keyboard right now - they got there via my nose whilst guffawing...
Well Said !

Sorry for your loss. Being the Black Watch tartan in must have fought with great valor in the face of certain death. Could it possibly be salvaged as a work kilt with some patch work? For work that does not involve high heat of course.

There must be a ceremony somewhere for the destruction of a damaged Kilt. Much like the ceremonial burning of a flag that has been damaged. I will take a minute tonight and have a moment of silence in memory of P1M's Black Watch. We will all remember it with great fondness.
