Welcome from one who shares the Scandinavian blood, some directly from Norway & some from my forebearers in the Isles. I have always found it an interesting connection that the term "Viking" comes from a verb to go abroad (& pillage)-while I have read that the original Dalriadian Scots got their tribal name from similar activities. This blood found common ground in the Hebrides, birthing a glorious & unique culture (as well as some contention!)
