Aww, I'm just behind that lot - I'm in Bridgeport, CA, now (from Sonora Pass/Highway 108). The leftmost is Token Civilian, and the guy in the middle with sunglasses is 3-Bar; to his left are Go-Go and Right Behind (who got engaged on Mt. Whitney). I don't know the others, but it's great to see some friendly faces!

Nice to see you're making progress.

I was hoping you would be around Lake Tahoe a couple weeks ago (My wife and I were out there), but I know how the trail steals your time!

Hope the trail treats you well.

    I'm in Oregon, baby!

I reached the border two days ago, and have spent the time since in Ashland, OR, figuring out my food for the entire state of Oregon. I should be in Washington in about two weeks.

Which means my hike is drawing to an end, with just under 1,000 miles remaining.

It's been awesome, but what an even better feeling to be out of California!

    Such joy,

Good to hear you check in Andrew. Can't comprehend the reality of what you're doing. Just positive you're much healthier than I.

Do enjoy the wild berries if they're still in season.

Thanks to everyone who checks in on my blog - it's good to know that someone's reading it!

Ron - the wild huckleberries are just coming into season. Perfect!

Oh yeah, I'm just over 2100 miles, and just 47 miles away from the Washington border. Yeah!

    Andrew.

    Slurp!

Enjoy them huckleberry's Andrew, you've sure earned them. Best I can do down here in the canyonlands is some Huckleberry soda from the polygamist store over in Colorado City, AZ.
