... Well... finally Mr. starrynightrecords was more or less p*ss*d off by the fact I was so insistant, and he told me that all the kilts were in the same condition, so he just suggested to have my money back and didn't wanted to accept even a change for another one.

So, I told him that I'd keep the kilt with me, and I'll try to set the sizing problems when I replace the leather straps by myself (I found an old brown leather belt forgotten at the bottom of a wardrobe and it will make the job).

To solve also the trouble with the underapron ( now it will cover too much and when I sit it doesn't fall down properly to avoid exhibition) I am thinking in cutting or just make one pleat at the border,... that way in case I get big big big again I'll be able to fit on it.

So at last it seems that my e-bay tank experience was not as good as I wanted to be, but well... I'm sure that once it's finished I'll enjoy it really much, and at least some of you will meet me in 3 weeks with it on,... in Alba!

    ¡Salud!

P.S.S.: And yes, Robin,.... I still know what u're thinking  hehehe

Boy, from what I saw in the pics, and what I'm reading about price and quality it sure doesn't seem that "tank" is the appropriate term for this kilt.

My understanding of the word "tank" is that it is an 8+ yard wool kilt hand sewn.

Getting the impression these kilts are inexpensive attempts to replicate the "tank" but are not "tanks" themselves....?

Could someone help me here please...what is the fabric content? How many pleats across the back?

Ham, I'm starting to understand why you don't like the word....

No problem with the kilts themselves - again, the old business adage of "you can have any two of price, quality, or service." Just trying to follow what they are.

I'll get your more details tonight. I can say it is about 8 yards of 80/20 wool/acrylic, hand-sewn pleats, with a good amount of pleats on the back...more details this evening.
