Kilted Prom
Well, I've left school and now for an (English) prom! Yes, I am 16 years of age and yes I have a Plymouthian/Scotch accent that always leads to "why are you wearing a kilt, your not even scottish?"
Anywho, I, with the support of my father, decided to wear a kilt to the prom and as its tommorow I just thought I'd post this up and then I'll post the details tommorow. If I can be bothered to take my digi-cam then I may well post some pictures, if not then I won't
Also, as a question, some experiances and advice of wearing a kilt to a formal event would be nice, as I realise most of the forumites here-aboots are middle aged men, or maybe that's just a guess. AND, just for the record, yes I am Scotch, I was born in Inverness.
Regards
James B

Master Boid,
Good for you! We are all looking forward to hearing about your prom.
As for you Pour1Malt..
I'm shocked! I would think you of all people would appreciate someone who proudly claims a Scotch heritage. The only real question is he from clan Single Malt or clan Blended.
Cheers

I'd have to say clan lightly aged single malt...not yet to full age, but working on it.
as for the age of the membership here, I would say we are all just a bunch of kids running around in a kilt...for once you grow up, the fun ends.

I think you'll have a great time at the prom - and you will certainly turn a few of the young ladies heads. I'm sorry I don't have any advice to share but I hope others will.
Of course we'd love to see some photos - but most of all... HAVE FUN!!!!!!!

Wear it with pride Lad! I wish that I had the intestinal fortitude to be Kilted while in High School.

OH to be young again, I am just a little bit older than you by some months, 540 to be precise. You are asking about wearing formal dress to your Prom, Post details of what your are wearing, or better still a photo & I am sure you will get as much advice as you want. Have a great night at your prom, take your Camera & post a picture we would all like to see you in your formal attire

Actually, I did mean Scotch...guess its just my English side playing tricks, most of the people I've heard down here say scottish, scotch or jock so I don't know.
Anyway, thank you all and I shall indeed wear it with pride.

Aye, that'd be about right.
