Fun, isn't it Scotty? Yesterday my wife and I went out for lunch and as we were walking up to the diner a late middle aged coup[le with an elderly lady were about to get in their car and the wife got all excited seeing me wearing a kilt and point3ed it out to the elderly lady, both smiled real big and one commented "nice legs". The husband, however, decided to be smart and asked "the question".I just said " I leave that for the ladies to find out for themselves" which caused him to blush and had both ladies laughing. It just gets better with time and as you get more comfortable wearing your kilt out in public and you get used to handling comments and remarks.

I look for places to go wearing the kilt, but have trouble at times. Best places are the highland games. Around home, just stores or resturants. At times, people just look at you up and down, smile or make remarks behind your back. Like, "now I seen everything".
    Nice to make people happy.
But, others do have nice comments. Always asked about the pipes. I tell them I play the drums-which i have, but not now.
It will take time for people to get on the band wagon. My wife isn't. She doesn't except the kilt for everyday.
    NEED MORE PEOPLE WEARING KILTS!

Ergo: She doesn't want you to wear the kilt more until more men wear the kilt more... but more men won't wear the kilt more until even more men wear the kilt more. But if you wear the kilt more, will other men also wear the kilt more? Maybe... but not until more other men wear the kilt more. So wear the kilt more.

I have reservations at a resaurant this weekend. I'll be showing off my new Xmarks kilt. I expect nothing but compliments but I'm ready for any quips. People will be people.

    .
the vicious circle of "Don't do it until it is popular..and it won't become popular unless you do it"

I'm stuck in a similar situation...although I am working damn hard to get more people to wear the kilt down here!!!
