Here is the secret...I was asked once by a parishioner how (and why) we are so happy, and I shot back without thinking about it;

"That's easy. I never defy her."

After about 5 seconds, I laughed too.

Remember the advice St. Paul gives in Ephesians (5:21 if you want to check me): "Submit yourselves to one another, out of reverence for Christ."

THAT is the Orthodox way.
