Alright. I must get in on this one. First and foremost. ROWDY RODDY PIPER IS THE MAN! PERIOD! I've been a hunting a "HOT ROD" T-Shirt!
As far as the "Highlanders." I don't know. I guess they're good for a laugh. They're doing the typical WWF(E) thing and exploiting the alleged country of origin. I watched the little video of them in the latrine. Pretty silly if you ask me. Though I did get a chuckle of the one taking a dump in the urinal.

I just hand delivered the Highlanders kilts to Robbie last week as he had a one day layover in Canada seems that the public love them their antics and the fact that they are kilted, No holds barred Piper is the man but these guys are coming up and they are pretty funny. I look at them as the Scottish Bushwhackers funny yet crazy, plus they wear my kilts( had to put that in there).

Prayers for Hot Rod
I always liked Rowdy Roddy Piper, whether it was dim memories of him in the ring or his performance in John Carpenter's "They Live."
Who could have delivered the lines with the same tongue-in-cheek seriousness (if that makes sense)?
"I came here to chew bubblegum and kick a**. And I'm all out of bubble gum."

(sorry, i'm a big wrestling nerd. i mean, FAN. no, i mean nerd.)
and Long Live Roddy Piper!
Actually... All three of them were born in Scotland. All three eventually moved to Canada. Given their chosen career paths, it makes more sense for them. NOthing against Scotland or the UK at all, but the Pro Wrestling business is MUCH more prolific in North America (though Japan and the UK are great places to build a Pro Wrestling career).
In wrestling jargon, I am what's known as a smark, which means "smart mark." A mark is a person who follows wrestling, especially a certain fed or wrestler and truely believes that the story lines are taking place for real. A smart mark knows it's all a big theatrical display, yet follows it as intensely as a mark.

I've heard it called, "a soap opera for guys." Actually the athletics involved are AMAZING!!! If they did that for real, they KILL each other!
I miss the WCW!!! (and NWO) (I used to watch it back before the "union.") Since, I havn't had time to keep up.

It wasn't so much the line itself, it was the acting up to the line, and the delivery itself. Only the HotRod could pull that one off!
