The X Marks Tartan was a special order for forum members. Designed by our own Matt Newsome and woven by Fraser & Kirkbright in Vancouver.

I'm very sorry but there is no more of this fabric left. We only ordered what people requested.

I would kinda like to try some Freedom Kilts Tartans but I want to talk to Rocky and Kelly first. I will not compete with friends.

    Beautifully executed.

Say, I don't have the Xmarks tartan, but I'd be interested in seeing these pics - I scanned your posts but could not locate the one you mention. Does anyone have a link?

    Thanks,
    Rex.

    That looks fantastic!

I'm just about done with mine, just the lining to add.

Speaking of lining, you mentioned that there's no lining. What's the inside look like?

That looks really good Steve. It's a tartan kilt, in a traditional styling, but with a few modern kilt additions built in. One of your dress kilts is definitely on my list.

Very nice Steve! To the stripe looks stunning, and provides a very nice look for the pleats.

I also like the pockets. Were they put in as you made the kilt, or did you go back after you completed it and add them? One thing I really like about my contemporary kilts is the pockets. A sporran is fine sometimes, but other times I just want to throw on the kilt and belt and head out without grabbing another accessory, so I am evaluating adding pockets to my tartan kilts. I know that I can do an underapron pocket with no problem, like Jeff offered on the PK's, but side slash pockets would be nice for keys and other paraphenalia.
