Hmmm... too dang many Phil's around here  - oh yeah where are my manors, welcome and good luck with a belt. I now have two home brew belts - one brown, one black - its a pretty darn quick and easy project if you're so inclined.

I purchased one of the clansman's belt from the Scottish Tartan Museum last month. They needed 3 to 4 weeks to get it in from their supplier. It is well worth the price and the wait. I bought the dark brown one. It matched my current sporran better. I'll tell more about it and post some pics when I get my latest creation finished.

Dangerous Threads on eBay also has some 2" wide brown belts with a plain brass buckle. I bought one and it was too small. I will post some pics tonight and see if anyone is interested. The guy on eBay has other sizes and I will be getting a correct sized one shortly.

Mike Butler at AmeriKilts has a guy who makes up his belts for him as needed. I'm sure he's flexible. Just ask about the brass buckle. Asking is how I got my first AK brown belt before they were offered regularly.

The link above to the Tartan Museum shop has some Buzz Kidder belts. They are about the thickest bull leather you could ever find with a heavy single holer buckle. I'm looking at getting one. O'Neille

That's why I like mine. It's just so "substantial."
