    i'm 5'9 but i have long legs and no torso...still, I wear my medium uk low so it's just below my knee cap. To me it feels about an inch too long...but I can deal with it

    The logo on the back of the Utilikilts is three "F"s for "Form Follows Function". That means the kilt looks the way it does because it's meant to function a certain way -- for the person wearing it.

    Since I actually work in my kilts (light construction projects, photography, teaching CPR), having them longer than traditional length gives me more freedom of movement with less risk of exposure.

    Also, since I have short, thick legs, the longer kilt makes my legs look longer. A standard length looks like I'm trying to wear a mini-skirt.

    Get the length that's best for what you're wearing the kilt for, and what looks good to you.
