Here are a few pics from the show over a couple of posts.

7.30am and we had just got to one of the car parks. We had to go from here and catch a free courtesy bus to take us to the show. The gates opened at 8am

When we entered it was just after 8 so we had loads of space to ourselves.

Some horses being prepared for forestry management demonstrations later in the day.

One of the highlights of the day for Elaine and myself was watching this little fellow ... an Otter. We have never seen one for real .. only on the tele.

By 9am it was baking hot.

This young man was brilliant. He had a great round of applause when he left the pen after this competition. His sheep led him around the pen more than he led the sheep ...

At one of our many beer stops

While we were having the drinks in the last photo this chap and his wife came and sat on the table by us with this little guy on a lead .. its their pet 'ferret' who kept wanting to come and say hello to us all

A pig with a couple of piglets, all the other young ones were fast asleep in the corner of the pen, just like the mother here.

Walking back to the car .. the time now 7.45pm. We were all shattered and a lot of people had already left. This is the only shot that is showing the countryside around Builth Wells which is in Mid Wales.

Arwyn did turn off just before we got home, just for the road ...

Great pics and looks like a lot of fun.

The photo of the pigs looks like two wild boar young being suckled by a domestic pig BTW.

Moose ... You are quite correct .. she was mated with a Boar .. so they are half and half.

Especially love the last pic...you can't keep a good man down...or out of the pub, for that matter.

The otter looked amazing. Having read "Ring of Bright Water", I've always had a thing for otters but realize that they belong out there and not living with me and my already over-crowded megangerie of a household. Daughter and I have been lucky enough to have a "private audience" with one of the little guys while we were camping a few years ago...this was, by the way, in "Stillwater Kilts Country" up around Southeastern Minnesota...it was one of the most magical and charming we've ever had.

Your pictures always make the place look so good...we have just got to get to Wales (as well as Scotland) if we ever get over there. Oh, for a long vacation...ideally the Xsmarks World Tour where I get to stop and have a brew with some of you guys over there in Euro-Land.
