An original late 19th century tramway (interurban) starts near the airport and runs along the coast for about ten miles to Fleetwood.
Blackpool tram, with the Victorian tower constructed in 1894 in the background, inspired by the parisian Eiffel Tower. Blackpool is a busy holiday resort in north-west England, with lots of entertainment, theatre, dance halls, casino etc.. and illuminations later in the season.
This Hovercraft was beached near the tram terminus.
Another 'plane load of holiday makers arriving at Blackpool Airport from Dublin.
