I like your idea of "GOKILTED"
I'd never thought of this. But, unfortunately it's not possible for me. Well, I suppose it is, but I'm not willing to make the sacrifice.
 What am I talking about you ask?
I have a U.S. Air Force veteran plate on my Suzuki Samurai (and one on my wee little motorcycle too.) In NM you can't have that plate "vanitized." The alpha-numeric layout won't allow it.

So, I had to decide which I wanted: vanity plate, or an VET plate. They're both "vanity" in essence I suppose though...

I am with the ink-ed one...I like that one too.
I don't have a vanity plate, but I do have a small oval sticker on the back that says "kilted". I bought it from the Tartans Museum (props to Matt and Ronan).

Yes, that adds to the message - I imagine confused/curious people checking their road atlas after seeing

Here is my Virginia plate.

I have thought of changing it to:
KILTIC
Of course, this is a contraction of kilt and celtic
There is a limit on number of characters and spaces in VA, (7) as well as type of character, ie no quotes apostrophies and such. Spaces can be used, but count as one letter.

At any moment you must be prepared to give up who you are today for who you could become tomorrow.
