the kilts look great. Ever thought of making one of duck cloth? I know you can get decent duck over at Joan Fabrics as well as some walmarts.
Thanks, I'm reasonably happy with them. Yeah, all you get to see is Damaris from the nose upwards. Pity, she's cute, too!
I have some Navy blue cotton/poly twill for the next two, and then I'm making two more for friends and then that's IT for X-Kilts; it's up to you guys..

I'm just not a fan of the narrow aprons. To me a kilt looks better when the apron goes all the way around the front of the kilt. I don't think tartan would look good with the curl that always comes with the smaller aprons either.
It does look like you made some good kilts for your buddies.

Well done Alan - it must be very gratifying to see these two smiling gents wearing your concept kilts!

Great looking Alan. What was the final time investment for each kilt?
The kilt concealed a blaster strapped to his thigh. Lazarus Long

Looks good, I would wear 'em (not both at the same time, that would just be silly).

That's very fine work, Alan. You've been an inspiration to me since I first logged on to this wonderful forum. I've now converted 3 sport jackets to kilt jackets thanks to your influence and guidance. I doff my cap to you, sir
I've kilt for less.

It averaged out to about twelve hours, each. I can get that down to more like ten, but still and I'll I'm estimating that this is a fourteen-to-eighteen hour project for a novice.

First off, I'd like to commend you on your latest kilts. I always look forward to your kilt projects. They inspire me through my own.
A question I had...Is there any taper to either of the aprons? While I 'm not a big fan of the narrow aprons, the kilt with the skinny apron kilt looks better.
Thanks for your endeavor.
