    Kilted at the Magic Kingdom?

    Hello All,

I was wondering if any of you had ventured to Disneyland while kilted?
I will be journeying there with my family, Mother-In-Law, and parents in a couple of weeks. I want us all to have a great time. I am debating if if I will be kilted during this trip. Please tell me your experiences if you have had any.

    Cheers and Thanks

Go kilted, and have fun! I haven't been there kilted, yet, maybe next year. I'm trying to plan a trip to take my kids, but I'm waiting for my son to be a bit older.

Haven't been to Disneyland, but I have been to Epcot kilted. Was a great time and no comments what so ever. I was also at Disney Kingdom, Disneyworld, and Carribean Beach resort on the same trip and no bad comments.

Been there many, many, many times kilted. It helps to have an annual pass an live just a few miles away. I've run into several other kilted folk there as well. In fact, I'd say odds are you WONT be the only kilted guy there on any particular day, though you might not see any others yourself.

why go anywhere without the kilt? I wouldn't suggest shark hunting or super-G skiing in a kilt, but pretty much everything else is fair game!

I agree with Yaish. I live about half an hour away and have an annual pass. I always go kilted and have seen a couple of others there as well. No negative comments and usually a few positive ones.
One time (while wearing a tan UK and a Scottish themed t-shirt) I was engaged in a conversation with a cast member about bagpipes. After about five minutes of the conversation he looked down and said that he just realized that I was wearing a kilt. I am sure they get all kinds throughout the park.
They will search your sporran however.

They wont search your pockets though. Of the dozens of times I've been there, I have never had my pockets searched, but they do check the sporran. Since I can fit my sporran INSIDE my UK pockets that just seems silly, but thats how it is.

It is not a privacy violation to subject a bag to search, however it IS a violation of your privacy to subject your body (including the clothes you are wearing) without just cause to a search. If they suspected you of stealing something, or concealing a dangerous weapon they might search you, but even then they usually wait for the local PD to show up and do it.

Now, the sense of checking a "bag" that sits right above my genitals but not wanting to check a pocket that hangs freely from my hip is just silly, but it works to your advantage.
