It is truly great to be kilted. Most of the time, people don't seem to notice, or may do a double-take. The one time people did seem to notice (well, one of the times) was in a restaurant where everyone was seated as I walked by. People smiled and giggled a little, but that was it, and it could have just as well been good-natured as ill. Most people just don't care. Most people don't notice trousers or shorts (unless there be a bonnie lass' bottom in them ) so why should people pay more than a little attention to a kilt? It's not common, so sure people will notice, but they don't care.
