The Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess has been completely supportive of the whole kilt thing. She even got a Loud McCleod Kilted mini skirt to wear out when I'm kilted.

    I'm a lucky fellow.

    Cheers

    Great kilt-wife

My SO only gets upset with me wearing a kilt when she feels I look better than she (by the way, that could never happen).

I guess mine goes without saying...

And I support Kelly wearing kilts too!

Can you put me down for yes X 2?

My wife is definitely not a fan and keeps asking me if I'm turning into a woman.

You can assure her that kilts are menswear. I'm still puzzled from time to time at the number of seemingly educated people that don't know the difference.

My wife was never confused by that issue but was more concerned about the eccentricity of it. She still is to a degree but goes along with it.

My advice is to be firm but understanding... and give it time.

My wife is not only supportive- she's the one who instigated my first kilt purchase. Occasionally she's a bit taken aback at how enthusiastically I've taken to them, but we go out to eat and such, not just to the games, and she even points out who's looking. She also bought me my first tank for Christmas last year (and I got her a matching sash). Like some of the others, we're coming up on 30 years together, so I guess she plans to keep me.

Hey, wearing kilts is minor compared to some of the things we've witnessed at biker bashes…

...as long as you keep feeding him. Otherwise you're toast!

Do you think she could explain to me some time how items of clothing could influence our genetic makeup?

Even the opposite (genetics influencing our choice of clothes) is impossible, since mammals have not worn clothes long enough for any natural selection to have taken place.
