It is a reminder of a particularly challenging year, the one in which I turned 40, walked out of a 13 year relationship that had turned sour, lost my job of 17 years, and totaled my 4-cylinder Saturn.

But, I've always looked forward to being older than I am, I'm happier on my own, needed new job anyway and got one where I was paid more and better appreciated for my contributions (and had a terrific three month summer "vacation"), and bought a 6-cylinder Lexus with the insurance money.

Ohio residents can preview custom plates by going to the Ohio BMV web site. Users may choose a plate type and the system will tell you what will fit and whether your message is available.
