I'll get some materials and mock one up.

$75 for a bag seems very very very steep to me...

Another question..as to kilt rolling. Has anyone rolled two kilts together? Did this produce any negative effects on the kilts rolled?

it may work, but one kilt may be better off than the other, separate would be easier to handle, I would assume.too may pleats etc to keep track of. depends on method used. it's a tight fit doing it the pantyhose way, for 1 kilt. I have taken 3-4 kilts to England, and kept 1 rolled for 3 weeks, made no difference, being rolled or hung.

    kilt roller

I design gear for a living and have built a few heavy nylon cordura panels cut and hemed at 20 long by 24 long with hook /pile tape closure ("Velcro" to you in the civilized world) to roll them closed. I keep my sport kilt in it. When ever i need to get in dry clothes from a day on the waterI just unroll it and it looks great. To put it away, i simply lay the kilt out, apron side down on top of the device, and pull the pleats together as i roll it clossed. It works perfectly. I have not used it for my more formal kilts but it works fine for my Spkilt. It may have to be built bigger for more formal kilts. It has been kicking around the back of the SUV all summer and works great. It could easily be strapped to a set of handelbars on a bike etc.
I will try to put photos together......
