Vanity plates......

I'm curious to know how many of you have - or would like to have - personalized auto license plates showing your enthusiasm for kilts.

My plates are now old, very weathered, and on need of replacement. I'm thinking about getting vanity plates containing the word "kilt". In Ontario, custom plates may be up to 8 characters and I've been playing with a few possibilities ->

UP*KILTS
KILTS*UP
KILTCHEX
99*KILTS
GO*KILTS
KILTSAYE
KILTS4ME
GOKILTED

Anyone have any other suggestions??

Obviously, it has to be checked by the government office for duplication etc. but it's fun to consider the idea.

How about KILTED1? Or, GOT KILT... Personally, I like to be a bit anonymous, so both of my cars wear normal plates, although one of them has the new Washington "Lighthouses" plates, which help pay for the maintenance and restoration of the Admiralty Head lighthouse in Puget Sound... Normally, I just get the standard issue "Evergreen State" plates with Mt. Rainier on them, but I decided it was time for a change.

Sure, I can understand where you're coming from on that but, isn't part of wearing a kilt standing out from the rest of the crowd? I think we sort of give up a bit of our anonymity when we dare to venture forth in a kilt.

"There goes the wacky kilted guy again".

The kilt is a noticeable statement to the world... and a vanity plate would just be an extension of that.

I just got back from the North American Pipe Band Championships a few hours ago and saw US plate (couldn't read what state it was from - possibly NY) that read "pipesup" which was pretty cool.
