Can't wait! I've got my saffron coming either today or tomorrow. I'm glad to hear that the orange is somewhat muted. With the color so close to Georgia soil we can stand next to a new construction site and disappear from the waist to the knees.

For CavScout and others who ordered them recently, I think you will find them very comfortable.

I've had mine about 3-4 months, and it is the heaviest kilt of the 5 I have so far. The color changes with the lighting conditions you are under.

Matter of fact, I think I will go change into it now!

Enjoy, and show us pics soon.

Turpin, you made a good buy for your first kilt. You should be very pleased with this one. It's all I can do not to head on home to start pressing out the wrinkels

Got mine over the weekend (wow that shipping was fast!) and I have to agree that they are very nice.

Add me to the list of happy campers. I was away all weekend and got home LATE last night and the package was waiting for me. Now to take out the basting stiches and the wrinkles!

Any advice on ironing technique for us first-timers? My saffron arrived yesterday and I'd like to get it all pretty. I've got some ideas for a DIY kilt hanger as well. If it works I'll post some pix.

I'm just planning on setting the iron to "wool" and running it over the apron's and hitting the pleats real quick. I think the weight of the kilt will pull the wrinkles out for the most part if it is hung up for a while.

Ahh..good review but this is making me jones mine even more. I didn't have the heart to tell my wife I ordered one without telling her so I grabbed the package when it came in the mail and hid it under the bed. Now I'm out of town until Friday night and can't even have a peak at it. Hopefully nobody will post any pics of their new SWK solid wool kilts
