    Anger Management...

This weekend, I did encounter one "wit" who had a clever quip while I was on the "L"...this guy's wife was very obviously looking all bug eyed at him and nodding her head toward me with that "check this out" kind of gesture. This guy kind of spoke past me to her, "..another untold story about Halloween, I guess." Hey...I didn't know that Oscar Wilde was still alive, let alone riding the Blue Line train back form O'Hare Airport. I am ashamed to admit that I did get a rush of temper and did think seriously about clocking this guy...but pity stayed my hand..."It's a pity that there are so many witnesses around..." I thought....

...the heavy burden that we, the kilted, must bear....sigh...

She was OBVIOUSLY bug-eyed at the wonderful site before her! She chided her husband for being a drone-in-pants, and PLEADED with him to be more secure in his manhood. Then she asked him why, for the last 9 months, he wouldn't be secure with the possibility of the apron flying-up in the breeze and he replied..."..another untold story about Halloween, I guess."

You just misunderstood the whole thing.

Wow, that would burn me somethin' fierce. Amazing self restraint.

I was kilted in Chicago all last week ... my parents were bothered and they were telling me that I was the only one doing it, lol. Guess we showed them, eh?

Don't let them aggravate you too badly though. They'll put up nice one liners, but in the end we represent tradition and class. That never goes out of style.

I would have been so tempted to fling my hands through the air, screech out "Why yes I am still alive and haven't I just aged gracefully!" while promptly sitting down on the gents lap and putting my arms around him.

Restraint was the right response. Treat the insecure guy with the contempt he deserves by ignoring him.

Having just returned from a long weekend tip to Chicago, I must say I had pretty positive reactions and was kilted all weekend. Headed out Saturday night in my X-Marks and "Real Men Wear Kilts" black T and I think that helped break the ice a bit. Saw many a folks catch the saying on the shirt, then look down and had a good smile. Was in the X-Marks again on Michigan Ave on Monday and pretty similar. Only negative comments heard were from unknowing/uneducated kids not understanding what a kilt was.

All in all I felt very comfortable in the windy city.
