Awesome! That's a stunning tartan and the kilt looks fantastic
I think a dress sporran will look better with a doublet though

Phil,
The 'Glenfinnan' shoes, which were a Christmas gift to myself last year, came from:

I agree with you on the subject of a dress sporran, Robin. However, there does not appear to be a Cornish Dress sporran in existence. By that I mean a dress sporran faced with the fifteen bezants rather than the tassels we all know so well! All the publicity photographs for the Cornovi Company in Cornwall, and those in their colour catalogue, show the leather sporran being worn with Prince Charlies, etc. It does look odd I admit, but the Cornish sporran is so distinctive that I think it works - just!
Many thanks for your observation.

Very very nice links.
Ham, you will also find some good information in The Compendium of District Tartans (by Matt Newsome and James Bullman, Scotpress 2004, -05) on Cornish tartans. I must say that up until now I was not even aware of them.
Thanks muchly. (Also VERY nice tartan and pics.)

I like your new kilt. I just added a Doublet to my wish list. If I may ask, who made yours. O'Neille
