OK, I'm envious! I wish my wife would just be OK with my kilt wearing, let alone buy me a new one! In her defense, she did get me a kilt pin last Xmas. However, said pin was more a fly plaid brooch (I need to post pics), although based on the website, you could not tell that. And of course she did not know the difference without outside information.

I'm going for my every-fifth-year trip this November (honeymoon, 5th, 10th, etc).
This will be my first trip kilted, though. I'm planning on taking two kilts, and two pairs of cargo pants. I plan to wear kilts most days, pants on days I'll be getting into and out of lots of rides. So I'll probably be panted in the Magic Kingdom, kilted in Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney/ MGM.

I'm a very lucky man.
KCW,
You should get yourself a Glengarry or Balmoral and proudly display the brooch on that as the cap badge. Make sure to point out how glad you are to get to wear it now.

I'm bringing my UK Mocker and my Olive Sportkilt ( and a favorite pair of camo cargo pants as a back up). I intend to give a report and photos from "The Happiest Place on Earth". My little 3 1/2 year daughter has been talking about going on the Dumbo ride for something like 5 straight months.
6 year old Sinbad can't wait to see the Pirates of the Carribbean with Captain Jack Sparrow. It should be a blast.

And which is truly the Happiest Place on Earth? Surely it must be Epcot - they have a liquor license.

...but watch out if the rest of the tourists think that you are part of the show...certainly men in kilts always exude an air of authority, so it's only logical that you might have folks walking up to you and asking you for directions or what time Mickey's Electric Parade starts...I've that it is essential in cases like this to lie prodigiously...make stuff up..."Mickey...oh, hadn't you heard? Mickey's dead...yeah, it was sad...heart attack...well, look how old he was...funeral's tomorrow...gonna stick around?"
Kilted on Space Mountain....aiyeee!

Sounds like fun, Panache!
I'll be curious to hear how the trip goes. My kids are about the same ages and we have been waiting for them to get older before heading to the Disneyland.
Enjoy yourself and take lots of pictures!
Cheers,
