Here's where wearing a kilt gives the golfer an advantage:

"Anyone wearing a kilt to the tournament will save his/her team a stroke on the total score."

I am not really a golfer, but this sounds like a reason to give the sport a try. Maybe we could get together a kilted golf outing to this course. I would really like to know why the kilt was considered inappropriate dress by the management.
