Yes the more I think about this and look into this the more I realize how simplistic my original idea was. How this would have to happen:

    1) A manufacturer would have t0 created a product line in our case kilts.
    2) Present this line to the NFL and apply for an official NFL licensing
    3) Open a web site offering the product
    4) Convince the various NFL team to carry your product on the web site.

It would really be much easier to simply wear your utility type kilt with a regulation team jersey and / or patch. With this approach, the "team spirit could be extended to other sports venue such as baseball and hockey.

From time to time I've thought it would be fun to do just that at a hockey game. Why limit this to football.... ?

No reason at all to limit it to football, Blu. I suppose it's just that football ils the most popular sport in the US. I've worn my UK to several Columbus Blue Jackets games and got quite a positive response.

As a Steelers fan, I have it pretty easy. An SWK Black economy, my Woodsen Jersey (yeah, I know he's gone, but he'll always be a Steeler in my mind) with a Steelers patch on the kilt, and viola! There you have it. Though I would be very interested in one of Alans kilts in black with gold inserts and pockets!

I wore a SWK Nightstalker all through the MLB playoffs...hung several White Sox badges on it and proclainmed it the un-official Sox tartan. The way things have been going for the Sox, I will definitely wear it Friday night when they play Detroit.

Definitley a Bears fan but I would envy Green Bay their tartan possibilities...but, hey, I just like green tartans. How we'd ever get an orange and blue tartan to look good...beats me...have to have a lot of black and blue and very little orange. We should try to keep these NFL tartans toward the darkeer color end of the spectrum...the average NFL fan could use the "slimming effect".
