In school, all my friends wore what was "cool" at the time. Macs, banlons, and chucks. Like a uniform. I just could not get into that style. Jeans and Windsors. All through school. When I graduated, I wore just that to graduation. When I had my senior picture taken for the yearbook, I was wearing a tweed jacket over, yes, jeans and a windsor. Our school was divided between the freasks and the greasers. I did not fit into either group. Made my own group and got along with all. Well, most. I started wearing a kilt because I wanted to. Not to be part of any group or to rebel against another. Never did worry about what anyone else thought. Still don't. Wear your kilt.
