Kilts of course!
Good waterproof coat
Camera with lots of film/SD card
anti-midgie spray (herbal)
vacuum flask to carry your own tea or coffee (save a small fortune)
are you hiring a car?

You might want to check any voltage issues with any electrical appliances (charger, shaver, hairdrier etc) you might be taking - I think it's a bit different. You can get an adapter when you arrive.
And never introduce yourself as "Hi, I'm Randy!" while in the UK.

Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Don't forget to pack a real good sense of humor to use when you exchange USD for GBP. As of today, $1 is worth about 52p.
