SWKs are great for the money. That nylon sporran is a real gem, I LOVE mine.

Thanks for the welcome. SWK tells me they'll have the Nightstalker in my size in about a month or so. It seems to be a foregone conclusion, based on what I've read here, that kilts are like potato chips (crisps, for those of you across the pond)- no one stops at one.

So, perhaps, I'll get myself a Black Watch Economy from SWK to hold me over until the Nightstalkers are in stock. The Nightstalker does seem like it would be easier to color coordinate a shirt with, than the black watch.

And then, after I hit the lottery, I'll get a nice one made up in a Ross tartan - to honor my grandmother. She was Scottish, Grandpa was Irish (perhaps a County Cavan tartan, then?). She grew up in Nova Scotia, he in Ontario. They settled and raised their kids in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and here I am today.

Will keep you all posted, and, of course, will have pics up in due time. Cheers!

Welcome from Ohio! I would advise that you stay with the standard model. A lot more for your $. MANY here love their nylon sporran. Go with a sporran belt. It is easier to swivel the entire sporran to the side when needed.
Great advise available here. Enjoy your stay!

Welcome from the highlands of Colorado. The addiction starts slowly but....
Oh yes, we do have a 12 step program here to assist you.

    Step 1. Buy kilts.
    Step 2. Buy Hose.
    Step 3. Buy flashes.
    Step 4. Buy sporrans.
    Step 5. Buy kilt pins.
    Step 6. Buy fly plaids.
    Step 7. Buy jackets.
    Step 8. Buy sgian dubhs.
    Step 9. Buy shoes.
Step 10. Learn to make kilts.
Step 11. Hang out on X-Marks.
Step 12. Repeat as necessary and have a good time with friends and family.

Although, I'd change Step 12 to "Drink single malt, have a good time with friends & family and repeat"
