    I wont add anything to that as it's all seem fairly covered.Just be comfortable, don't feel like you need to wear your sporran directly centered either. Many of us here and myself included wear the sporran on the thigh. Much easier for walking I find.

    You've come to right place to ask such questions.

    I suggest a leather sporran for daywear, perhaps a freelander. Fur is normally ( from what I have seen) kept for semi-formal and formal occasions, and pipers.

    As for the sporran height, I keep mine worn just below the buck, so I can have freedom of leg movement and far more comfort when the sporran's swing is tightly controlled. Suffice it to say that a sporran's swing can be painfull if the sporran is worn at exactly the wrong height.
